Scientists are in, Early Access is out – Forced wipe!

Tomorrow is the second forced wipe of this month. The reason is clear: Rust is leaving Early Access.

This wipe will clear everything. Not only the map, but also your blueprints. You will need to learn those again by finding items all over the map and researching them.

Except for the visual changes, which we will get into below, there’s also some important information: after this wipe, the price will go up to 35 dollars and the weekly updates will be dropped. Instead we will see monthly updates.

The devs confirmed that the plan is to have scientist NPC’s turned on by default on every server after the update. There will also be some visual changes to trees, overall terrain and a new experiment with how things look and feel in general. The game will also see a new food item: pickles.
