Big changes this Thursday, Help Test on Staging Branch
The patch coming out this Thursday is changing a lot of stuff. There will be a Unity update (from 5.4 to 5.6) and the new AI system will be launched.
Facepunch asks you to join their Staging Branch server and test the new features before they launch the update this week.
Switching to Staging Branch
In order to play on the Staging server, you need Steam to tell you want to use the ‘test’ version of Rust. You can do so by right clicking on Rust, going to properties, then choosing staging here:
Then join the ‘Facepunch London – Staging’ server and play normally. The server will update/restart quite often, but we’ll try to keep it to a minimum, and unless it crashes there should be plenty of warning beforehand.
